Jane Manchun Wong has been working on yet another tool for Twitter which would possibly be used to streamline replies on tweets. By using this tool, users might be able to hide any unnecessary replies to their posts which they do not want public to see.
Twitter has been testing this tool since a few months now and it will be available for use most probably in the coming few months. The testing has been in process and people up till now are supporting the idea behind this upcoming update.
Interestingly, people not only will be able to hide replies but can also choose to view hidden comments and replies. Well, as per to the features or blocking and reporting, this one reduces all the agitation and the fuss of blocking every other person on twitter. This moderation tool is both easy-to-use and easy-to-handle.
After Wong tweeted about the new tool being tested, a senior product manager at twitter, Michelle Yasmeen Haq, confirmed the notion, and stated that it would be publicly tested in a few months.
After confirmation, Haq illustrated the primary context behind the formation of this tool which is to fill the gap between the already existing tools i.e. mute, block, and report
saying “Block and mute only change the experience of the blocker, and report only works for the content that violates our policies.”
