Federal Minister for Information and Technology, Fawad Chaudary happened to invite Facebook and Google in order to make investment in Pakistan in a press conference a few days ago.
Further to this, it was stated by him in the meeting of Senate Standing Committee (Information and Broadcasting) that both of the tech giants have shown interest in investing into Pakistan. Although, the investment amount and the strategy has not yet been shared from either of the parties.
The meeting was held to specify all the pros and cons of investing in Pakistan and how Information Technology can be propagated through this investment. This opportunity can be of substantial benefits to Pakistan’s IT sector as well as to the telecommunication industry.
Fawad Chaudhary claimed that this may result in numerous job opportunities for the youth and will open vast doors for the advancement of technology. Additionally, he stated that in along with employment opportunities, it will help Pakistan identify and acknowledge its talent.
