PFDC (Pakistan Fashion Design Council) is the topmost fashion institute of Pakistan, situated in Lahore. Every year PFDC organizes the biggest fashion event of Pakistan featuring the top couture designers around the country. Moreover, they sponsor the best-known artists as well.

The Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) collaborates with L’Oreal Paris every year and this year again came with the ninth consecutive volume of PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week. The event was scheduled from 26th September 2019 to 28th September 2019 happened in Lahore.

This year’s show was sponsored by Aquafina (a renowned water firm in Pakistan) to present the rising and fresh talent to the world.

PFDC platform is best known for its yearly couture/bridal dresses showcase. It presents a perfect blend of tradition and contemporary designs with the essence of modernity. PFDC is the only solo fashion show of Pakistan with high hypes and profits.

PFDC not only features the best artists around the town but also gives opportunities to the rising talent to show their skills to the world.

In the past, top artists like Shamsha Hashwani, Ali Zeeshan Theatre Studio, Mahgul, Nomi Ansari, Saira Shakira, Sania Maskatiya, Kamiar Rokni, Rohale Asghar, Sadaf Fawad Khan Bridals, JEEM by Hamza Bokhari, Sara, Faiza Saqlain, Tabya Khan, Fahad Hussayn, and many others showcased their work and gained much appreciation.

This year’s debut artist was Zubia Zainab. Her bridal collection titled ‘Dare to Dream’. The collection reflects edgy twists with a taste of feminine love. Ushna Shah was the showstopper for this particular designer.

Moreover, Hussain Rehrar opened the first day of PFDC with his collection titled ‘Fateh Pur – The Amour Proper of Punjab’. This collection reflected the Punjabi motifs with a blend of perfect fabric and color schemes. Iffat Omar was the showstopper for this collection.

Saira Shakira was the finale artist for day 1 and presented her collection named ‘Kali – a bloom’. As reflected by the name, the collection revolved around the concept of beauty of nature and floral theme playing with a flawless color palette and the best fabric around the globe.

Nida Azwer showcased her couture collection titled ‘Anarkali’. This collection was truly inspired from the rich Mughal heritage. It has the essence of Mughal art and textiles. This collection also featured the custom designer jewellery by Print Therapy. This collection throws light on the historical traditions with immaculate detailing.

Apart from this, many other artists like Abbas Jamil, Elaha Ahmed, Mehek Yaqoob and Urwah Ali participated in the show.
